All articles published in Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering undergo a rigorous peer review process aimed at ensuring the scientific quality, originality, and integrity of the published research. Reviewers are selected based on their recognized expertise and proven competence in relevant scientific disciplines.
The role of the reviewer is to provide a thorough, critical, and impartial assessment of the manuscript, focusing solely on its scientific merit. By carefully reading and analyzing the manuscript, reviewers are expected to offer valuable substantive comments that contribute to improving the quality of the publication.
The review process systematically addresses at least the following four key aspects:
- Evaluation of the depth and relevance of the literature review in relation to the subject matter,
- Assessment of the originality and novelty of the research, including innovative approaches to the addressed problem,
- Analysis of the clarity, structure, and effectiveness of the presentation of research results,
- Appraisal of the overall scientific significance and potential impact of the research findings.
Before agreeing to review a manuscript, each reviewer must confirm that:
- They possess sufficient expertise in the field to provide a competent and informed review,
- They are able to complete the review within the specified timeframe,
- There are no conflicts of interest related to the authors, institutions, or content of the manuscript.
